Is this all there is?
---Is this as good as it gets?
Is there nothing more
--- than discussing debt?
It's
Stale?
---Shallow?
------Empty?
Or
Legalistic?
---Self-absorbed?
------Elitist?
No!
No THIS is what I desire.
---Passion, authenticity!
------Desperation and Simplicity!
Heart and soul
---Truth and Spirit!
------I can almost hear it.
What...
What is the word
---for outwardness--
------toward the sea--
Issuing from within--
---directed out--
------ no about me?

Purpose
So, I'm pretty pleased with the way this turned out. (Not the photograph so much as the product.) I am so pleased that I'm going to talk a little bit about it. The idea was to make a statement, a reminder, an altar if you will.
I like a lot of the stories about Daniel and the lions den, being an exile, reading miraculous notes, outlasting kings and kingdoms. But before all of that... what sort of caused all of that happened in Daniel 1:8. Daniel "purposed" in his heart not to be defile before God. It's that purpose that guided his story, that determined his decision.
The word purpose in Hebrew (the language this part of the story was written) is soom. It's a simple three letter word, but it is not easy. It's rough, splintering the fingers that grasp at it. Yet, those pricks and pains are constant reminders of our own eternal purpose.
So, here's how it works. This was painted, photographed and designed. Then it was printed on canvas and stretched across wooden strips and hung in triptych style. This is the result. What do you think?
